Pony Tail Bow!

 

 

 

Diva always want the lady gaga bow but i was tired of doing it! so this morning we found a new cute bow to try! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GfwDxBD12go&feature=relmfu

I am loving this new bow! think its my new favorite hairstyle....at least for now lol :) super cute and easy...and a nice change from the lady gaga bow! what do you guys think?

 

 

 

cute girls hair wrapped ponytail!

So I love cute girls hairstyles! and this simple video made my day! This is the most amazing idea for a hair wrapped pony tail ever!!!!!!!!   I have always used a bobby pin and been frustrated because it just doesnt stay but this stays all day!...even at the park lol

Fish Tail Pigtails

Today we just did simple fishtail pigtails :) super fun super easy and super cute

 

all I needed to do this was a comb, some elastics (I used 4) and my spray bottle

 

 

I started by making regular pigtails (I use and elastic at the top and bottom of the pigtail for 2 reasons 1st it makes the braid stay tighter and 2nd it keeps the hairstyle in longer). Then i start to fishtail the first pigtail. If you dont know how to fishtail I highly recomend looking it up on youtube! Its a really fun looking braid and there are alot of cute things you can do with it! I will give a basic description how to do it here: first divide the hair into 2 strands

 

 

next take a section of hair from your left strand (size of this section is up to your personal preference and the length and thickness of the hair)

 

 

 

Cross over the top and add the section to the right side....

 

 

now take a section from the right side and ....

 

cross over and add it to the left and repeat back and forth till you have gotten to the end :)

 

 

This is what your finished braid is gonna look like :) a nice switch from the regular 3 strand braid and french braid!

 

 

TADA! super cute hair that will last all day long!

 

And of course Diva doesnt think a hairstyles is complete without bows!!!!

Lady Gaga Bow

Today Diva asked me to do the Lady Gaga Bow :)

 

 

My tools today are a comb, bobby pins, one elastic, water spray bottle, and hair spray

 

I start the bow by making a floppy bun , make sure you leave a good size tail because we will use that to help make our bow.

 

Next i use my fingers to split that in half. these are going to be the loops of your bow!

 

Next you take the tail of the floppy bun and split it in half take the right half and wrap it over the front and back behind the right side loop. use a bobby pin to secure it. Next take the left side and do the sam thing

 

Now you can do one of two things with the left over tails, you can wrap it around again or you can tuck them inside your bow loops (I personally am going to wrap mine around again)

 

 

 

At this point you can stretch and adjust your bow loops till they look like you want them to look and top of with hair spray!

 

 

And this is the front view! :)

 

 

 

 

 

 

The Bubble Braid

Here is the bubble braid (although the name is deceptive because its not really braiding lol)

 

The tools I used today are my water spray bottle combs my small topsy tail small elastics (I used 5 but depending on the length of the hair you will need more or less) and finished off with hairspray 

 

 

I started off with a low ponytail (I did mine a little off to the side)

 

Then I put and elastic in to make a small section (the size of this section will be based on your prefrence and your hair, Divas hair is shoulder length so I do smaller sections to get more bubbles in but if you have longer hair you might do bigger sections all up to you :))

 

Next i take my small topsy tail and flip the hair thru the section I made (you can do this with out a topsy tail if you do not have one just seperate with your fingers and pull the ends thru)

 

Once you pull the topsy tail thru tighten it and it should look like this :) you are gonna repeat the steps above (starting by making a section and flipping it) till you have gone the full length of the ponytail (we did 4)

 

when you finished your ponytail it should look something like this

 

Lastly you are gonna stretch your flips out and make them look "bubbly" just kinda pull and tighten till you get the look you want

 

and here is the finished bubble braid :)

 

and of course Diva doesnt think any hair do is complete without a bow :)

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Hair Heart

This is one of the Divas favorites!

and again its super easy! First my tools...

I am using a comb the topsy tail small elastics (about 4) a water spray bottle and hair spray

The first step is a half ponytail

next you are gonna take the topsy tail through it UPSIDE DOWN (if you dont have a topsy tail dont worry this can be done with out you just seperate it with you fingers and slide the ends thru)

 

next divide the ponytail in half and braid both sides (just a regular 3 strand braid is all i use)

when both sides are braided take an elastic and tie them together along with a small section of hair from underneath (so it will stay secure and not be flopping everywhere). then you can take the elastics that held the braids together out

tighten it and straighten till your happy and you have a heart!
so you could leave it like this or you can and some ribbon

 

Diva doesnt think any hairdo is complete without a bow :)

flip braid ponytail

This is our flip braid ponytail we did this morning! Super cute and super easy!

First here our my tools i used a water spray bottle, comb,about 4 small elastics, a topsy tail, 1small clip and finished off with hairspray.

 I started out by making a low ponytail (I dampened her hair first)

 next i used my topsy tail to flip the ponytail (this can be done without the topsy tail just kinda makes it easier)

 

next I braided the ponytail into 3 strands

 Tie all 3 strands together with an elastic

flip the ends of the braids back through the flip you made with the topsy tail

secutre with a small clip (you can also use a bobby pin but I prefer using the small clip)

 

 see super easy and super cute!

 

 

We finished off by adding a flower, you can add a bow or anything or even leave it with out because its so cute!
